These donuts are awesome so fresh! Highly recommend the fritters and cereal doughnuts.

Update- these donuts aren't good anymore. I think they sell their donuts one or even two days old. I found another place that is way way more fresh and doesn't sell donuts that are one day old.
don't have many donut places in my immediate neighborhood. I generally drive a few
Miles to get to a good one, mostly because I refuse to go to Dunkin' Donuts. I tried rainbow today for the first time. I know it's been in this location for many years, but it always looks closed for some reason. Anyway, the lady at the counter is very very very nice. Which is the biggest reason I give 4 stars. The donuts are average in my opinion. But definitely better than stupid Dunkin' Donuts. The Boston creams I got didn't really have much filling. But remember, I'm basing this against my experience at another donut shop. These rainbow donuts are just fine to eat and are soft and fresh. I'm just super picky about my donuts. I feel that donut making is an art form. So I hold it to a very high standard. Yes I'm a dork.

This place was a shock to me as I had very low expectations going in.
What I ended up experiencing was fast and friendly service with excellent coffee (and I'm from Seattle)! In fact, I thought the donuts were above average too despite their average appearance.
We had lots of bad coffee while in Arizona, so it was a relief to have tasty donuts and great lattes & Americano's here!
The chocolate milk choices were a big hit for the kids too! -

We wanted a good place to go to breakfast before the day started, and after passing this place several times going to other places in the area, we decided to give it a shot. We were a little confused, since the sign says Hi Hi Donuts, but on the receipt it said Rainbow Donuts. We walked in, and there were only two other locals in the place. There was a big language barrier between us and one of the owners, so the young woman running the cash register had to help us out. We ordered four donuts, a coffee, and a Thai tea. It was around $10 for everything, which seemed about the same price as Dunkin Donuts. My boyfriend had to flag the one owner down to let him know that they were out of creamer and had to get more creamer. The donuts were super sweet, nothing fancy, and I ended up eating one out of my two donuts. We weren't blown away by the donuts. My boyfriend commented that the coffee had a funny taste to it, and my Thai tea was good, but the color in it stained my shirt after I accidentally spilled some. Considering that there were other cooler looking places in the area for breakfast, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

I'm so confused. I have loved Rainbow Donuts for forever, but this is now called HiHi Donuts and the donuts are definitely different. Does anyone know what the story is here? Nothing seems to have changed inside, but my box of donuts now says HiHi and the donut recipe is definitely different and not as good as it used to be. I miss the old Rainbow donuts. :(
